Palette from Photo

Drop in any image and pull its six defining colors, with hex codes ready to copy. Perfect for building a brand palette from a photograph. Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

or drag a file onto this page. JPG, PNG, WebP.

How it works

The image is scaled down and every pixel is sorted into color buckets; the six most prominent, visually distinct colors are averaged and returned as clean hex values. Near-identical shades are merged so you get a usable palette, not six variations of the same blue.

Everything happens on your device — the picture never leaves your browser. Made by Max Greenaway, marketing, photography and software, Toronto.
